KIEV. December 29. KAZINFORM. Kazakh Embassy in Ukraine and Moldova held in Kiev a roundtable on “State and prospects of the Kazakh-Ukrainian relationship”. Those attending were the reps of the diplomatic corps, business circle, journalists and experts. The discussion focused on various aspects of its uppermost subject matter. According to Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ukraine A. Zhumabayev, 2007 became the fruitful year for the development of the ties between Kazakhstan and Ukraine. The two states’ commodity turnover for the past 10 months reached USD 2.53 bln. For the past four years it grew fourfold. Fuel and energy complex and transport component of gas and oil delivery to Europe is the key sphere of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Therefore, the project on completion of Odessa-Brody pipeline to Plock is promising one. Besides, Kazakhstan is interested in efficient use of the Black Sea ports. Kazakhstan is keen to tune up cooperation in scientific and technical and educational spheres.
